|You're stepping into Chipmunk territory here, so be warned; I really love the 'Munks and 'Ettes, especially Theodore.|
There was a long moment of silence as the rest of the group stared at the now split Theodore; his two halves staring back before turning to one another. It looked odd, for the both of them, like staring into a mirror- but living and breathing; neither imagined that they could ever be split apart, believing they’d have to stay together in their own shared prison body.
But, here they were.
Theodore hesitated to move at first, unsure of what to do or say to his other half. His hands clenched open and closed a few times, Hyde seeming to mirror the motions.
And in a blink of an eye, Hyde had closed the gap between them both, tugging Theodore into a tight, almost unbearable hug. His face buried into Theo’s shoulder as suppressed sobs choked from his throat, uncharacteristic tears streaming down his cheeks.
“G-God…. Theo….” Hyde managed between breaths. “I’ve w-wanted to d-do this for s-so long….” His eyes squeezed shut as more tears rolled from them.
Theodore was crying as well. His grip almost challenging Hyde’s in strength, wanting to show his twin as much tenderness and care he could muster.
“M-me, too, Hyde…. You’ve needed this… So much. I’ve needed it….” Theodore said, trying his hardest not to completely break down as they continued their warm hug.
“Th-thank you.”“N-no…. Thank you, Theo….”
